Calvary Chapel Meridian

Mission & Vision

Our Mission
Jesus said in Matthew 28:20 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you.”  Our purpose as a fellowship of believers is to make disciples. That is, to multiply ourselves into more believers that will be sacrificial followers of Jesus. We seek to do this by providing a simple, clear path for believers:

Our Vision
Connect
We connect people with God in our main church service and special events.
You can join us weekly at the church service.

Grow
We grow together in fellowship through our House2House small groups.
You can grow with us. Join a H2H Group and grow alongside other believers.

Reach
We reach out to others by sharing our faith and serving our King Jesus.
You can join a ministry and use your gifts to serve others.

Ministry Servant Expectations

Personal Spiritual Development
  • We believe that Christian service, while good, should come second to spending personal time with God in hopes of personal spiritual growth. All servants should be taking care of their own personal spiritual development and growth as committed followers of Jesus Christ.
  • Luke 10:38-42
  • Having healthy relationships with people will provide open doors for ministering to the body. Servants should work to resolve conflict with others through grace and humility.
  • Matthew 5:23-24, Matthew 18

Ministry Qualifications
  • Servant must attend Calvary Meridian regularly for at least one month before applying to serve in a ministry, and at least three months before applying to serve in the nursery, children, youth, and safety ministries.
  • Servant must complete and submit a Ministry Application.
  • Servant must pass a background check.
  • Servants are encouraged to participate in a House2House Group.
  • We ask that each servant would be willing to serve in the ministry area that you choose for a one-year period. In the event that you need to change this commitment, please discuss this with your ministry leader.

Attitude of Ministry
  • Always serve as a polite and courteous servant – model the grace of Jesus
  • While serving, please do not wear statement apparel such as sport team apparel, or political apparel. Our aim in ministry is to minister to every member of the body without creating unnecessary barriers.
  • Please maintain a clean and orderly area of ministry. This will help reduce safety issues as well as display a commitment to excellence in serving.
  • Please be available to serve anyone while serving in your particular ministry.
  • If you are unable to make it to your scheduled serving time, please do your best to arrange for a team member to cover for you and advise your ministry leader of the change. If you cannot find a replacement, notify your ministry leader as soon as possible.
