Administrative
Welcome Center Attendant
  • Description: Greet and welcome people who are new to the church, directing them to the Welcome Packet. Answer any questions they may have and direct them to the appropriate ministry leader if questions are specific to that ministry.
  • Number of People Needed: 3
  • Commitment Level: Twice a month, before and after either 1st or 2nd service
  • Requirements: Be able to stand for about an hour.

Audio/Video
Lighting Designer/ Technician
  • Description: With the new building we have opportunities to get more intentional with the lights in the sanctuary. We are looking for someone with an artistic eye and experience with DMX lighting controllers to help us fine-tune the lights in a way that follows our church's culture and atmosphere. There would also be opportunities to help with Children's Ministry plays, School events, church-wide events, and presentations throughout the year.
  • Number of People Needed: 2
  • Commitment Level: This position would require the servant to be present during any more complicated lighting productions, but generally help as able to fine-tune the preset scenes for normal use.
  • Helpful Skills: Experience with DMX lighting, an artistic eye and feel for how the lighting could help further our church's mission.

Sound System Operator
  • Description: We have a need for help to cover the Sound servant position during Calvary Meridian Prep School functions as well as assistants to help with AV needs
  • Number of People Needed: 2-3
  • Commitment Level: Thursday Mornings from 7:30am - 10am and as needed for school functions.
  • Helpful Skills: Experience running sound is a plus, technically and musically inclined are helpful if not required traits.

Slides/Presentation
  • Description: Song lyrics and speaker slides for Sunday and Wednesday church services and special events, as well as school Chapel and other functions.
  • Number of People Needed: 3 openings, including needs on Wednesday Nights and to cover other events.
  • Commitment Level: Servants are placed on a rotation, serving every 2-4 weeks depending on the team size. The weekend serving expectation is to be present during worship practice on Saturday Night to prep the slides and get a feel for the song flow. On Sunday the expectation is from 7:30 am through both services every few weeks. This allows for familiarity and consistency for all services. Wednesday Night setup starts at 5:15 pm.
  • Helpful Skills: General aptitude for using a computer and ability to learn new software. Attention to detail is an important skill and musical familiarity helps but is not required.

Sound Assistant/Trainee
  • Description: Help set up for service, support the worship team and teachers, and learn the sound system while helping to ensure the congregation can attend with minimal distraction. This is a great opportunity to bless the church while you build knowledge in AV systems.
  • Number of People Needed: 2
  • Commitment Level: Be available on rotation (every 2-4 weeks) for Worship Practices, Service Prep, and service times as scheduled. Opportunities to help with upgrades or reconfigurations as they come up.
  • Helpful Skills: Training will be given, so you don't have to know much about sound. Generally, being technically curious and adept is helpful. A heart that seeks to serve, willingness to learn, accept criticism, and ability to take direction in sometimes urgent circumstances is required.

Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child: Team Member
  • Description: Operation Christmas Child Team Member – Help as a team to pray for provisions, the shoebox recipients, purchasing/gathering items, meet, plan, and organize the year’s box packing party.
  • Number of People Needed: As many as the Spirit puts on their heart to help!
  • Commitment Level: 2-3 Annual Meetings, Full day of packing in October, Delivery of Boxes to in November, and a few hours a month during the year to gather items.
  • Helpful Skills: Nothing more than a willing heart.

Operation Christmas Child: Craft Maker
  • Description: Craft Maker for Operation Christmas Child - Making use of sewing, crocheting, knitting, painting, woodworking, or any other crafting skill that somebody is blessed with. There are many projects that need no prior crafting knowledge, and we can train how to make these items easily.
  • Number of People needed: As many as feel called to help!
  • Commitment Level: Time commitment can be determined by the individual depending on the type of project they want to help with and if it is one-time or ongoing.

Bookstore Ministry
Bookstore Volunteer
  • Description: Greet and assist customers with their purchases using our point-of-sale system.
  • Number Needed: 3-4 people serving every other week or once a month
  • Commitment Level: Before first service, between first and second service, or after second service every other week or once a month.
  • Requirements: Must be able to stand for about 45 minutes or so. Light lifting may be required.

Children’s Ministry
Children’s Worship Leader
  • Description: Lead the kids in a VBS style worship. No musical talent required. Worship videos are played on screen while you lead the hand motions to the songs. Training is provided! You will also greet the kids as they arrive and dismiss the kids to their classes afterward.
  • Number Needed: 4
  • Commitment Level: Rotation every other week, serving 30 minutes at the beginning of service. Can serve one or both services if available.
  • Requirements: Must be able to learn the hand motions to the songs. As the worship leader, you will need to have a friendly and cheerful disposition with children. All Children’s Ministry servants must pass a background check.

Service Coordinator
  • Description: As the Service Coordinator you will be expected to check in on all the classes before, during and after service. You will assist the check-in attendants, teachers, parents, and worship leader as challenges arise. You will be available for bathroom runs, assist teachers with behavior problems, communicate with parents as needed, and check in with the Director and Assistant Director.
  • Number of People Needed: 3 – this position will be filled by interview followed by a trial period.
  • Commitment Level: Serve at 1 service every week and attend another service each week. (Available services include Sunday 9am, Sunday 11am, Wednesday 6:30pm)
  • Helpful Skills: Dependability is important. Must be a servant leader, show kindness and grace for others (kids, parents, teachers, helpers, and other leaders!)

Check-In Greeters
  • Description: Greet Families as they arrive, assist with check-in as needed, and direct new families to the correct classrooms.
  • Number of People Needed: 8
  • Commitment Level: Rotating every other week for approximately 30 minutes during check-in time. Can serve one or both services if available.
  • Helpful Skills: Must be friendly and welcoming and able to assist families with check-in on the computer. Training is provided.

Classroom Teacher
  • Description: Join our team of teachers! You will have the opportunity to guide and teach the class through our age-appropriate Bible lessons and classroom activities. All supplies, activities, and lessons are prepped for you ahead of time. You just show up on Sunday and be ready to serve the kids. Training is provided!
  • Number of People Needed: 3
  • Commitment Level: One service, every other week.
  • Helpful Skills/Requirements: No experience needed! You must have a desire for kids to know the Lord and grow in their relationship with Him. Ability to demonstrate God's love for the kids in your class through your interactions with them.

Children’s Ministry Youth Helper/Teacher’s Aid
  • Description: Our youth helpers and teacher aids assist the teacher with classroom responsibilities. Some of those responsibilities consist of preparing and passing out snacks and crafts. Interacting with and playing with the kids. Helping to keep toys cleaned up. And supporting the teacher in any way they need.
  • Number of People Needed: 8
  • Commitment Level: Our youth helpers and teacher aids typically serve every other week during 1 service.
  • Helpful Skills: Able to take direction from the teacher and enjoy helping kids learn about Jesus. All Children’s Ministry Servants must pass a background check.

Cleaning Crew
Cleaning Crew Volunteer
  • Description: Cleaning the building for Sunday service.
  • Number of People Needed: 4
  • Commitment Level: Every other Saturday
  • Requirements: Willingness to clean.

House2House Ministry
House2House Leaders
  • Description: House2House Leaders lead the weekly H2H Group meeting, prayer time, and facilitate the Sermon Based discussion. They work with a Host (if they are not self-hosting) to create a meal plan for the group each week.
  • · Number of People Needed: no limit
  • · Commitment Level: Weekly for a ten-week session. Meetings are typically 2 hours.
  • · Helpful Skills: Must be willing to lead discussion and possibly answer questions during the meetings.
  • House2House Group Hosts
  • · Description: Provide a clean and welcoming setting for a House2House small group. Work with the group leader to create meal plans for the group each week.
  • · Number of People Needed: no limit
  • · Commitment Level: Weekly for a ten-week session. Typical meetings last two hours.
  • · Requirements: Must have space and seating for up to twelve people.

Greeters Ministry
Greeters
  • Description: Greeting People, noticing new attendees (Visitors) and helping them feel welcome, and directing them to areas as needed, like coffee, Children’s Ministry, etc.
  • Number of People Needed: 8 total. 4 for each service.
  • Commitment Level: 1-2 times per month, serving at either 1st or 2nd service, serving 30 minutes before the service starts and about 15 minutes after the service has started.
  • Requirements: Personable and welcoming, able to handle outside weather at times.

Hospitality
Sunday Morning Refreshments
  • Description: Help to provide coffee, tea, water, and other refreshments to the congregation as they arrive and during church services. The position also helps to keep the Coffee Bar clean and welcoming to all who come by.
  • Number of people needed: 4 people
  • Commitment Level: Serve for either 1st or 2nd service, set up at 8 am to prep for 1st or serving for 2nd service at 10:30 am. Commitment Level would be for 1-2 weekends per month, 1 service for each weekend, able to attend the other.
  • Helpful Skills: All are welcome who feel called to be a part of this ministry. Positions do tend to require standing for long periods of time.

Events Team
Event Crew Set-up and Tear-down
  • Description: Event crew will be responsible for setting up and tearing down infrastructure needed for an event such as but not limited to tables, chairs, canopies, etc.
  • Number of People Needed: 8 for set-up, 8 for tear-down
  • Commitment Level: Serves on day of event.
  • Requirements: Be able to lift 20 pounds and move without limitations.

Event Crew Front-of-the-House Volunteer
  • Description: BANQUET SERVERS would be responsible for serving food to the guests, HOST/BUSSERS would be responsible for seating guest to available tables and clearing and wiping down tables and chairs, ATTRACTION MONITORS would be responsible for watching children play and enforcing the rules.
  • Number of People Needed: Banquet Servers - 30; Host/Bussers & Attraction Monitors - 13 to work in 30 min. shifts
  • Commitment Level: Serves on day of event. Attends event rehearsal the day before the event.
  • Requirements: Be able to stand for one hour.

Event Crew Back-of-the-House Volunteer
  • Description: BEVERAGE SUPPORT will be responsible for gathering & refilling beverages, DISHWASHER will be responsible for washing, drying and putting away dishes, CHEFS will be responsible for cooking and preparing food
  • Number of People Needed: Beverage support - 1 rotating 30 minutes; Dishwasher - 3 for 1 hour; Chefs - 8 rotating 1 hour.
  • Commitment Level: Serves on day of event. Attends event rehearsal the day before the event.
  • Requirements: Being on the events team does not mean that you need to work every event. Work only the ones that you have the time, gifts and talents for.

Media Communications Team
Social Media Content Manager
  • Description: Keep our social media up-to-date, relevant, and engaging. To not only keep the church aware of events and happenings but also to post content that helps to further our church's mission to Connect, Grow, and Reach our community for Christ. This position would help across ministries with the main purpose being for the main Church pages, but it would also help to build awareness of the specific ministries in our church body. This person would work with the media and graphics teams, leveraging assets that have already been created or assisting in defining the need to be filled.
  • Number of People Needed: 1-2
  • Commitment Level: Posting on social media a few times a week and meeting with the Media Communications Director/Pastor to plan out the content schedule and marketing efforts.
  • Helpful Skills: Technically savvy, good eye for social media content and a desire to leverage it as a ministry opportunity

Men’s Ministry
Men’s Breakfast Set-up/Tear down
  • Description: Assist in setting up tables and chairs, cooking and/or cleaning up after the breakfast is over.
  • Number of People Needed: 2-4
  • Commitment Level: 3rd Saturday of each month
  • Helpful Skills: Need to be able to bend or lift 20lbs at most.

Social Media Content Manager
  • 'Description: This position will serve as the admin for publishing content on the Men’s Ministry Facebook page. This individual will work closely with the Men’s Ministry leadership team.
  • Number of People Needed: 1-2
  • Commitment Level: This individual will publish content 1-2 times a week and will require approximately 5 hours a week.
  • Helpful Skills: Understanding of social media is preferred but not required.

Security Team
Safety Team Volunteer
  • Description: Watching and protecting the congregation, kids, and building.
  • Number of People Needed: 5
  • Commitment Level: 2 services, every other Sunday
  • Requirements: Keeping a watchful eye and responding to any security situations.

Ushers Ministry
Usher
  • Description: Serve the church community prior to and during services. Handout bulletins and Bibles. Assist with seating. Answer questions. Assist elderly as needed. Serve Communion.
  • Number of People Needed: 2+ ushers for 1st service, 4+ ushers for 2nd service, and 3+ ushers for Wednesday nights. 6+ ushers that could help with each Communion.
  • Commitment Level: Twice a month rotation for ushers for one service each Sunday or Wednesday night.
  • Requirements: Men and women are encouraged to serve as ushers.

Youth Ministry
Sound/Slides
  • Description: This will be for helping on Thursday nights with sound or slides. For those who would be interested in sound or slides, we will have opportunities for training and teaching basics on how to do slides and the sound board.
  • Number of People Needed: 2 or more
  • Commitment Level: Once a month on Thursdays
  • Requirements: A heart to serve the Lord and the youth.

Youth Worship
  • Description: Leading worship for the youth group or having someone to take over building up our youth kids in youth group to lead worship and build their skills in this. There is also an opportunity for this person to eventually facilitate and schedule worship for Youth Group.
  • Number of People Needed: 1 or 2
  • Commitment Level: For those just looking to help with worship, at least a once-a-month commitment. For someone who may look to take over in helping build our teens up in worship, this would be more of a commitment.
  • Requirements: Love the Lord and want to serve the youth.

Youth Group Set-Up/Tear-Down
  • Description: Helping with setting up and tearing down the classrooms for services on Sundays and Thursdays. Helping make sure trash is taken out and the room is left the way it was after serving times. We are trying to make this as efficient as we can, so our volunteers have more time to pour into the kids.
  • Number of People Needed: no limit
  • Commitment Level: At least once-a-month
  • Requirements: Love the Lord and want to serve the youth.
