Pray Boldly

READ ACTS 4:23-31

When Peter and John returned to the other believers, they prayed that God would make
them all bold. God responded by shaking the room and filling each person with the Holy
Spirit. God heard their prayer, and he made them bold.

Sometimes it’s hard to stand for Jesus, especially when someone else wants to tear
our faith down. But sometimes, the person who is most hostile toward your faith is the
one ready to accept Jesus. They just need a reason. They need to see that your faith is
real!

It takes a bold heart to stand up for Jesus. That’s why you need to pray for
boldness. God wants you to ask for strength, for courage, for fearlessness. God will fill
you with His Spirit and give you the courage.

Family Discussion:
- What story did Peter and John tell their fellow disciples?
- What happened after the believers prayed for boldness?
- Why do we need to pray that God will make us bold?

Parents, pray for your kids to have a strong faith, and pray for them to be bold believers. The
world needs more bold believers to speak the truth in love.
