Fruit of the Spirit: Peace
God Wants Us to be Peacemakers
Today we focused on the next Fruit of the Spirit: peace. Peace is the calm we feel in the midst of a storm. Peace is when we cool our tempers and bring reconciliation between two people. It is the one thing we all need most when we are going through difficult times.
When we have a growing and thriving relationship with Jesus, we will have peace. No matter how crazy life gets, God promises to give us His peace. The more we grow in Christ, the more we will share that peace with other people.
Read 1 Samuel 25:1-35
Being peacemakers means that like Abigail, if someone is upset with us, we try to make things right. We apologize when we are wrong. We love the people we disagree with. We pay back what we owe others. We seek friendship and reconciliation, and we build bridges with others.
If you are growing in Jesus, rooted in the Word of God and covered with prayer, God will fill your heart with peace. You will have peace when you need it, and you will have peace to share with others.

Memory Verse
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control; against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23
