Jesus is Risen

Jesus Always Keeps His Word

Jesus promised that He would rise from the dead, and three days after His crucifixion He did just that. What an amazing thing that Jesus rose from the dead!  He not only took care of our sins by dying on the cross, but He also conquered death when He rose three days later. Every one of us who believe in Jesus Christ can have eternal life.

Read Mark 16:1-11

Jesus first appeared to Mary Magdalene.  Mary brought the news to the disciples while they were mourning Jesus' death.  They did not believe that Jesus was alive even though He had told them many times that He would rise from the dead while He was with them. But soon after, Jesus appeared to the disciples and many others, and He told them to share the gospel so that others could have a relationship with Him too. Jesus who was crucified and died to save you from your sins, rose again and is alive today!

We can believe all that Jesus tells us in His word, even when it seems impossible. Jesus is faithful to do what He promises, and if we believe in Him, He will give us joy in all things and peace that passes understanding. Jesus always keeps His word.

  • Why were the women going to the tomb?
  • What did they notice when they arrived at the tomb?
  • What news did the angel share with them?
  • What did Jesus instruct His disciples and followers to do?
  • As His followers, Jesus instructs us to share the gospel too! Can you think of anyone that you could share the good news of Jesus with?
