Simeon

God's Promises Always Come True

Read Luke 2:25-38

Simeon was righteous and devout. He was constantly seeking the Lord and knew that God's promises always come true. God had promised Simeon that he would not die until he had seen the Lord's Messiah.

On the day that Mary and Joseph brought Jesus to the temple, Simeon was moved by the Spirit to go into the temple courts. There he saw Jesus and took him into his arms, praising God. "My eyes have seen your salvation." Simeon had seen the Messiah, the Savior of the world.

Mary and Joseph marveled at what was said about Jesus, and Simeon blessed them and prophesied about the future.

When God's promises come true, we need to thank Him, worship and praise Him, and tell others about He has done just like Simeon did. We need to trust the Lord because God's promises always come true.
