Life of Joseph: Count Your Blessings

READ GENESIS 41:41-49

As followers of Christ we have the ultimate defense against the attitude of perpetual unhappiness. We have God! When we are disappointed, all we need to do is take stock of all the good things God has done for us. We have homes and clothes. We have family and friends. We have a place we can come to worship in freedom. We have sunshine and summer breaks and holidays and birthdays. More than anything, we have Jesus, who died for our sins to give us eternal life. The more we count our blessings, the less we will focus on our disappointments. We can find joy in the things we have instead of dwelling on everything we wish we had. When life is a bummer, sit back and count your blessings. Make a list on paper. Thank God for each blessing. Life is way better than you ever knew because God has blessed you!
